Smokin’ on the Plaza takes place in the heart of Lovington, New Mexico’s downtown district. There are no tickets, and the festival is free to attend.
Attendees and visitors should enter through Washington Ave. Free parking is available at the Lea County Judicial Complex, marked on the above map with the following icons:
Parking is prohibited on East Central, East Ave A, and South Love Street. Please be mindful of orange cones, barrels, and barricades. Parking in restricted areas will get you towed.
Vendors are located on East Central and Love Street, marked on the above map in light and dark turquoise colors. Festival vendors set their own hours, prices, and menus. Most vendors will take credit/debit cards, but we advise bringing cash, just in case.
The Beer Garden area is marked on the above map in hot pink. You must be 21 or older to enter this area, and open containers are not allowed outside of the Beer Garden.
IBCA contestants will be on the South end of the festival. Unlike the Non-Sanctioned contestants (those participating in Beans and Anything Goes cook-offs) IBCA contestants do not sell food or give out samples. Judging is closed and follows IBCA guidelines.
